Patrick Masoya came to Arizona almost 18 years ago as a refugee from the Democratic Republic of Congo. He has proudly made Arizona his home ever since. As an entrepreneur and philanthropist, he is the embodiment of the American dream in action.
Patrick is a graduate of Western International University with a Bachelor's of Science in Business and holds an MBA in finance from Grand Canyon University. Committed to lifelong learning, he is currently pursuing a Master’s in Taxation.
He has a solid background in finance and business that our state needs. Having worked as a senior processor for a Scottsdale insurance company before serving as a revenue auditor for the Arizona Department of Insurance. He is currently a partner at a tax and accounting firm.
Patrick’s community engagement and servant leadership has spanned his lifetime. It is this personal pledge to servant leadership that has fueled his philanthropic ventures. He is the current President of RICE- Refugees and Immigrants Community for Empowerment. He is the past President of Congolese Community of Arizona. During his tenure at both organizations, he has trained on a wide range of subjects from domestic violence and women empowerment courses to advocacy and mentorship.
When not working or volunteering, Patrick loves traveling, reading and spending time with his children. He is locally focused and a globally engaged man who is quadrilingual. Speaking fluent English, French, Swahili, Lingala and currently learning a 5th language, Spanish.
Patrick Masoya is ready to lead a bold, diverse Arizona into the next decade with a vision based in growth and unity, not the politics of division.
